According to Statistics Canada, the two largest visible minority groups in Canada are South Asian and Chinese. As of the 2011 National Household Survey, South Asian is the larger group, representing 25% of the total visible minority population and 4.8% of Canada’s total population. The Chinese group made up 21% of the visible minority population and 4% of the total population.
